History of Tino'sFind Your FriendsTinos Blog and Message Board

In the fall of 1950, Sam Tino and his wife Mary opened Eugene's first Italian restaurant, located in the front of their house on the corner of 15th and Willamette. Sam cooked in the tiny kitchen, while Mary was hostess and waitress.

The little five table operation grew and expanded. First by knocking out a few walls; then by a major expansion in the early sixties. Though the business grew larger, Sam's original recipes and commitment to quality remain unchanged.

After 50 years the restaurant finally closed but the old staff and management have many fond memories of our days and our co-workers at Tino's. A couple of us decided it was time to get in touch. We brainstormed as much as we could and mis-spelled most of the names, but it is a start. Please contact us with your information and what you have been up to since the Tino's days.
